LBJ PUMP STATION OFF-LINE

(St. Croix - March 26, 2021 - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community of repairs being completed on the LBJ Pump Station which recently went off-line due to a mechanical failure.  The VIWMA’s staff is working diligently to bring the station back online.

The VIWMA apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the community for their patience and cooperation. Pedestrians are advised to avoid any standing water in the area.

VIRGIN ISLANDS WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY TO CLOSE CROWN MOUNTAIN BIN SITE

(St. Thomas) March 22, 2021 - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises residents on St. Thomas who utilize the residential bin site located at Crown Mountain that this site will be closed from Monday, March 29^th to Friday, April 30^th, 2021 for maintenance and enhancement purposes.

Area residents are encouraged to dispose of their household trash at the Caret Bay and Shibui bin locations.

VIWMA ANNOUNCES TRANSFER DAY AND EASTER HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

(Virgin Islands) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community of the hours of operation for VIWMA's Landfills, Transfer Stations (TS), Convenience Centers (CC) and administrative offices in observance of Transfer Day and Easter holidays are as follows:

All administrative offices will be closed from Wednesday, March 31, 2021 thru Monday, April 05, 2021. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, April 06, 2021.

Additionally, due to the Good Friday holiday, St. Croix residents residing in Estates Herman Hill, Catherine’s Rest, Peter's Rest, Cane Garden, Rosegate, Humbug, Veteran’s Land and Tamarind are advised that the regular Friday pickup will be changed to Thursday, April 1, 2021.

The VIWMA Team wishes everyone a safe and happy Transfer Day and Easter.

  •  Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday - Sunday 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• Peter’s Rest Convenience Center:
  • Monday – Saturday 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

ST. THOMAS

• Bovoni Landfill:
  • Monday – Saturday 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Sunday 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
• Mandahl Convenience Center:
