CANCRYN PUMP STATION CURRENTLY OFFLINE DUE TO LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER AND HEAVY RAINFALL

(St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the public that the Cancryn Pump Station is currently offline due to a loss of electrical power and heavy rainfall.

This situation may lead to sewer system issues in the downtown area, potentially causing manhole overflows. VIWMA advises residents to avoid any standing water in the affected area.

The VIWMA is working to address the necessary repairs and thanks the community for their cooperation and patience.

ANGUILLA LANDFILL CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE

(St. Croix, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that the Anguilla Landfill will be closed on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 7:00am to 12:00 noon for maintenance. The Landfill will re-open at 12:00 noon.

VIWMA ANNOUNCES EASTER HOLIDAY AND TRANSFER DAY SCHEDULE

(Virgin Islands) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community of the hours of operation for VIWMA's Landfills, Transfer Stations (TS), Convenience Centers (CC) and administrative offices in observance of the Easter Holidays and Transfer Day as follows

Additionally, due to the Good Friday holiday, St. Croix residents residing in Estates Herman Hill, Catherine’s Rest, Peter's Rest, Cane Garden, Rosegate, Humbug, Veteran’s Land and Tamarind are advised that the regular Friday pickup will be changed to Thursday, March 28, 2024, in observance of Good Friday.
