VIWMA TEAM PROVIDES UPDATE ON REPAIRS TO PERMANENTLY CEASE BYPASS IN ANNA'S RETREAT

(ST. THOMAS, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) Preserving Paradise team advises the community of work that will commence Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 392 Anna’s Retreat (Four Winds) in the vicinity of On the Run Service Station and Splash and Dash Car Wash.

Contractor, Big Lee Repair and Tile, Inc., will be working to finalize repairs to permanently cease the bypass. Traffic within the project limits will be reduced from two lanes to one lane for approximately 500 ft. during working hours, which will run into the night. The Authority advises the motoring public to traverse with caution, follow traffic directives of the staff at the site or consider the use of alternate routes.

The Authority reminds residents to avoid standing water in the impacted area. Residents with compromised immune systems are advised to avoid the area.

The VIWMA Preserving Paradise Team apologizes for the inconvenience and continues to work diligently to provide reliable service. We would like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation.
