TEMPORARY OPENING CHANGE AT BOVONI LANDFILL TO ENHANCE SERVICE DELIVERY

(St. Thomas, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the public of a temporary adjustment to the Bovoni Landfill’s opening time. On Friday, March 20, 2026, the landfill will open at 8:00 a.m., instead of the usual 6:00 a.m.

This brief delay will allow VIWMA staff to complete essential operational work necessary to optimize disposal capacity and ensure safe, efficient service for all users.

Normal operating hours will resume immediately following this temporary adjustment.

The Authority appreciates the community’s understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain reliable and effective waste management services.
