The Preserving Paradise Campaign is a three-part program designed to introduce the Authority’s concepts of environmental education and community pride to the different facets of the community. The Preserving Paradise Kids segment is geared at public and private elementary school students. The Authority’s Environmental Educator, under the Division of Environmental Programs, visits the various schools in the Territory, and introduces them to the concept of keeping their schools, playgrounds, beaches and neighborhood clean. The Business Partnership portion of the program invites local businesses who share a common vision of “preserving paradise” with the VIWMA to partner with the Authority. And, the Community part of this program invites various neighborhood groups and homeowner associations to work with the Authority to keep their neighborhoods clean and to act as the eyes and ears of the Authority to assist us in improving our level of service to our community.
