Solid Waste Haulers - Permit Requirements and Application

All waste haulers who utilize the Authority’s wastewater or solid waste disposal facilities are required to be licensed to do business and to be permitted to disposal of waste. The VIWMA’s Office of Compliance Management and Enforcement issues waste disposal permits annually. Haulers are required to submit an application, have the vehicles in their fleet inspected, and pay the required fees to obtain the waste disposal permit. This permit is renewable annually. Haulers, who are not licensed or permitted, will not be allowed to disposal of waste at the Authority’s facilities. Any hauler found to be in violation of the permitting process or to be dumping illegally will be cited accordingly.
