Disposal Guidelines

When entering the Territory’s landfills or transfer station, all permitted haulers are required to follow the direction of the Authority’s staff, or their contractor designee, to ensure the proper disposal of waste. Information is readily available that lists what is acceptable and not acceptable waste for disposal at either the waste disposal (bin) sites or at the landfills or transfer station. Haulers are also required to have a tarpaulin or a comparable covering placed over the bed of their truck to prevent their load from flying out of the vehicle, causing littering or possible damage or danger to the public. Loads for disposal are to be sorted prior to entering the landfill.
