A large portion of the island of St. Croix receives house-to-house solid waste collection. Those areas who do not receive the courtesy of this service from the VI Waste Management Authority or from a contracted and permitted waste hauler must use one of the four public waste disposal bin sites.
All persons who receive house-to-house collection services are reminded to place their household waste in a sealed bag in a securely closed receptacle on the mornings of curbside collection. Each household is allowed to place curbside a maximum of (2) 64-gallon containers or one 64-gallon receptacle per unit for apartment buildings of up to four units. The waste receptacles are to be cleaned and sanitized regularly.
