Special Waste refers to any type of waste or spent materials that cannot be disposed at the Territory's landfills for a variety of reasons. VIWMA offers special programs and services that ensure that toxic substances do not escape into our environment and cause damage; to keep people, pets, and our natural resources safe from harm; and to ensure that VIWMA captures various materials for recycling and reuse.
