FAQ - Recycling Tips

Should I throw batteries in my regular trash can?

No. Batteries are very toxic to the environment so they need to be thrown in special trash bins and recycled. They can be taken directly to the Household Hazadous Waste (HHW) Collection Centers for recycling. The centers are located at the Bovoni Landfill on St. Thomas and at the VIWMA's Williams Delight Offices on St. Croix. Their hours of operations are 9am-3pm, Mondays thru Fridays and 9am-1pm on the 4th and 2nde Saturdays, respectively.
