Understanding the importance of Waste Management is the key to Preserving Paradise and Keeping Our Islands Cleans. At the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority, we are committed to educating our students about waste management, and the impact of our waste on the environment.  Our goal through presentations, facility tours and other outreach initiatives is to develop a level of understanding that will translate to students and their families acting in an environmentally responsible manner.

For classroom presentations, facility tours or participation of our staff in your school’s science fair, career fair and other related projects, contact our Environmental Educator in you island district.

Note: The VIWMA invites all Junior High and High Schools to enter the "Keep it Clean" Jingle Contest.
