A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is used when the specifications of a product or service are already known and price is the main deciding factor in the decision. The submittal of an RFQ typically involves the following:
The bidders return a proposal by a set date and time determined by the Authority and is included in the advertisement for the proposal. Late proposals may not be considered. The proposals are used to evaluate the responsiveness of a supplier or vendor. An Evaluation Committee is named to open the received bid packages in the presence of a representative of the Procurement and Property Division. In some instances, selected bidders may be asked to make a presentation to the Evaluation Committee.
