The VIWMA welcomes the support and assistance of local businesses to help us to achieve the goals that we’ve set forth to educate the community and provide programs and services that are required to met our mission of safe-guarding the public’s health.
VIWMA advertises for services and equipment support for jobs that cannot be accomplished in-house. These are accomplished through Request-For-Proposal (RFP), Request-For-Qualifications (RFQ), Invitation-For-Bid (IFB), and telephonic bids for services. Our contracted services also include supply and professional services.
Preserving Paradise
for Business Partners.
A relationship between businesses and the Authority is also encouraged through our Preserving Paradise Business Partnership. This program encourages the support and participation of business in our various programs’ community outreach effort. This support can be in-kind services, monetary contribution for particular events or assistance in spreading the word of the importance of “preserving Paradise”.
Rules and Regulations for Waste Disposal.
No business is allowed to dispose of solid waste at any public disposal site or for its placement along the curbside for house-to-house collection by VIWMA or contracted haulers. Commercial and industrial businesses are to hire the services of a properly permitted waste hauler to properly collect and dispose of their waste on a regular basis. A VIWMA Waste Manifest form must accompany each load of waste for disposal and can be obtained by the waste hauler.
